“Whatever you do for the least of mine, you do for me.” Thus Our Lord spoke to His disciples. “Feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and give drink to the thirsty…whoever should give even a cup of water to my little ones, he shall not lose his reward.” These words from Our Lord sum up the two-fold charism of the Missionary Servants of the Most Holy Trinity:
- Preserve the faith among those people most neglected and abandoned
- Turn every Catholic into a fervent missionary disciple
It is our special ministry to go after the lost sheep, those Catholic faithful who are most materially and spiritually neglected. Our missionaries are drawn to those societies and communities that are poor, destitute, and in need of the most basic physical and spiritual necessities. Hoping in the love of the Gospel, some of our priests and Brothers take on assignments some might call “impossible” to bring the love of Christ to the marginalized and abandoned.
As our founder, Fr. Thomas A. Judge, explained nearly 100 years ago, it is our job to “tend to the entangled vines in the vineyard.” The Missionary Servants of the Most Holy Trinity have had the joy to do exactly that for nearly 100 years. We are a purely missionary order sent out to establish oases of faith and hope amid the outskirts of society and bring the fire of the Gospel where the light of faith is in danger of going out.
God has blessed our mission with amazing growth. From a handful of original missions in the Deep South of the U.S., we’ve grown to more than 35 throughout the American continent. All throughout our apostolate, our priests, Brothers and lay co-operators are hard at work organizing food drives, building communities, offering free education and medical assistance to the needy, and providing a spiritual home to the spiritually destitute.
The community of the faithful is at the heart of our ministry. Our priests and Brothers seek to build a community that is, in truth, a spiritual family. A family that provides not just for the temporal necessities of its members, but also the spiritual. We seek to form every Catholic as a disciple, so that living together in mutual love, support, and respect, the Gospel of Christ can flourish and create a peaceful and faithful society.
In these dark days we live, society needs our ministry more than ever. Is God calling you to become a Missionary Servant of the Most Holy Trinity? Our ministry is abundantly fulfilling and spiritually enriching, but not all are called. If you feel that the Lord is giving you the generosity to discern a vocation by offering your life to Him in service to His beloved children, The Missionary Servants call on you to contact our director of vocations. Ask him about discerning a vocation for the Missionary Servants of the Most Holy Trinity and discover what the Lord has planned for you.
Dear friends, the harvest is increasingly great and the laborers are very few. The Lord is always calling laborers into His vineyard, and no greater reward can be found than what Jesus offers to a fervent and generous soul.
