This month we are most grateful for the two young men who will be ordained Missionary Servant priests and for those who have made it possible.
Please keep Brothers Eder Quiñones and Gustavo Baloco in your thoughts and prayers on November 25, 2017. On that day at the Metropolitan Cathedral in Medellín, Colombia, surrounded by friends, family and fellow confreres, these two young men will joyfully celebrate the sacrament of ordination.
Each have come a long way with his own rich story. But, in the end, the grace of God saw them through to this long-awaited event. This is a huge accomplishment for both and a true blessing for all of us.
Brother Eder, a native of Colombia, says, “The experiences of missionary work, living in Community and a vibrant spiritual life have allowed me to grow as a person and to surrender to God’s plan for me.” Brother Eder is very grateful for the tremendous support he received over the years from friends like you. He thanks everyone for the financial and prayerful support given him and others like him.
Brother Gustavo, also from Colombia, shares, “My hope is that God will continue to mold me and teach me what I must learn in order to understand His will for me. I look forward to giving myself completely to God and His people as a Missionary Servant priest.” He would like to thank everyone who has made his journey possible. He is filled with gratitude for being given the opportunity to follow God’s call to be a Missionary Servant.
Our Congregation has been blessed with many wonderful vocations, and with wonderful friends like you! You help us provide the education, housing and other necessities these young men need during the many years of preparation. In a very real way, you have made it possible!
