Pictured here are all of the local Custodians and assistants who gathered July 4 – 6, 2017, in Cuernavaca, Mexico, with Fr. Mike and the General Council. During the three-day meeting, much time was spent in dialogue with the local Custodians about their roles and the skills needed to be effective. Counsel from the Custodians was sought concerning our further conversation on a more faithful living of the vow of poverty as well as the Congregational Mission Plan, the work of the Spiritual Life Committee and the development of a Congregational Vocation Plan.
During our Wednesday session Bro. Loughlan shared some of his wisdom around both the skills that Custodians need to be effective and some of the things that can block or inhibit us from being effective leaders. As we shared prayer, ritual, and Liturgy, as well as the social time, a strong sense of community and fraternity were experienced.
